Teddy Bears Picnic

What a lovely way to end Term 1! The children have worked so hard that they thoroughly deserved a treat. So today they brought in a furry friend from home to join them for a small picnic.

What colourful pictures the children have created today! The pastels gave a great effect when they were carefully smudged.

Which way?

The children have been treasure hunters today inputting instructions into the Bee-Bots to get to the hidden treasure. If their instructions were incorrect they then had to debug them and try again.

Samuel Pepys

Starfish Class looked at some extracts from the diary of Samuel Pepys this afternoon to find out even more about the Great Fire of London. After discussing why his diary entries were so important the children then sketched and painted their own portraits of him.

Thankfulness

A Musical Morning

Starfish Class enjoyed a fun music session today where they got to take turns playing lots of different instruments. They also had to listen very carefully so that they could copy a rhythm back.

The Great Fire Continues

This afternoon the children called on their knowledge of the Great Fire of London to create a time line. They did a super job arranging their sentences and pictures to retell the disaster in the order that the events took place.
