Signs of spring

This afternoon the children have been looking outside for signs that spring is finally here and they spotted quite a lot! Daffodils, crocuses, buds and birds were all found in the school grounds. They then planted some seeds so that we can closely observe how they grow over time.

I love my mummy because …

This morning, the children were given the opportunity to think about their mums and why they love them. They could then decide whether to create a collage, draw a picture or write a poem to celebrate their wonderful mums.

Messy fun!

What a lot of mess we have made today! The children used clay to sculpt their own water lilies after looking at some inspirational work from Claude Monet.

Puppet shows

To help retell the story of ‘Where the Wild Things Are’, the children have been creating finger puppets of the characters to use in a puppet show. Some of the faces of the Wild Things were really quite scary!
