Little Red Riding Hood

This afternoon, Starfish Class spent some time in Seabrook Woods to help us role play the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the adventure and the setting really helped the children get into role. Their acting was amazing!

Rhyme time

To help us get to grips with rhyming words, we made our very own rhyming hats. We then wore them while we brainstormed lots of different rhyming words.

How fast can you go?

What a great way to begin a new term! The children had to concentrate, coordinate, persevere and try their best in order to build different formations in a speed stacking workshop. A great time was had by all.

What do we know about plants?

To kick off this term’s science learning on plants, we went for a little walk around our local area to see which plants we could spot. We managed to spot trees, grasses, flowering plants and ferns. I wonder whether the children can spot any more at home?
