Firework Inspiration

After learning about why we celebrate Guy Fawkes Night, and to inspire some firework poetry, the children created their own firework pictures.

Computing Fun

Today we used the laptops to explore how to create different algorithms. The children experimented how to change backgrounds and characters in preparation for creating their own simple computer based games.

Drumming Workshop

To mark the end of our celebration of Black History Month, the children enjoyed a djembe drum workshop. Not only was this was great fun, but it educated the children in some of the traditional music from West Africa.

Science Week Fun

It has been a very busy, yet exciting day at school today with children from across the school completing a carousel of science based activities. In Starfish Class, we were visited by children from every other class to carry out ‘balloon racers’ and ‘quicksand’ experiments. What a great end to a great week!

Speed Stacking Success

The children had a great afternoon today taking part in both individual and team events at a speed stacking event. To succeed everyone needed a good level of concentration and coordination, but most importantly perseverance. We even managed to bring home medals for 1st and 3rd places! Well done everyone!

Bizarre Babies Workshop
