Home Learning Fun

Building Wishes

There was lots of fun in the classroom today as the children brought to life their characters’ wishes from their planned stories.

Hidden Messages

After studying the parable of The Lost Son, the children reflected on what this story means to Christians. They then constructed a box which was beautifully decorated on the outside but which carried the hidden meaning on the inside.

Remembrance Day

After watching a short, animated clip about World War I, the children created a poppy using a collage of tissue paper. They were very proud of the finished product.

Bonfire Art

To continue our learning on Guy Fawkes Night, we created our own bonfire collages. The children had to think about the shape of the colours of the flames and how to construct the base. The end results look great!

Today we used the laptops to explore how to create different algorithms. The children experimented how to change backgrounds and characters in preparation for creating their own simple computer based games.

Drumming Workshop

To mark the end of our celebration of Black History Month, the children enjoyed a djembe drum workshop. Not only was this was great fun, but it educated the children in some of the traditional music from West Africa.
